Poverty is the main cause of hunger in the world. This is true in rich and poor countries alike. It is true no matter whether people live in urban or rural areas. Most people who are hungry are living in extreme poverty, defined as income of $1.25 per day or less.

Our goal is to build a better, healthier future for people all over the world. Together we strive to combat diseases – infectious diseases like influenza and HIV and noncommunicable ones like cancer and heart disease. We help mothers and children survive and thrive so they can look forward to a healthy old age. We ensure the safety of the air people breathe, the food they eat and the water they drink.

We improve the quality of life through education and focused in building the skills, knowledge and resources of local groups so they can accomplish their missions effectively.
